Community Involvement

Online communities are where individual socialize, exchange ideas, and sometimes work on important causes together. Discovering and influencing the conversations that may related to a company's product or service may take a little digging. Influencing the the people that have some popularity and respect in these communities is called "Influencer Marketing". Influencer marketing, (also Influence Marketing) is a form of marketing that has emerged from a variety of recent practices and studies, in which focus is placed on specific key individuals (or types of individual) rather than the target market as a whole. It identifies the individuals that have influence over potential buyers, and orients marketing activities around these influencers. Influencers may be potential buyers themselves, or they may be third parties. These third parties exist either in the supply chain (retailers, manufacturers, etc.) or may be so-called value-added influencers (such as journalists, academics, industry analysts, professional advisers, and so on).

 

Cross-Channel Marketing

Marketing experience has show that if a buyer hears about the company, the brand, and the product multiple times through multiple channels, the likelyhood to buy goes up.  Using TV, radio, magazines, phone, and internet to communicate a similar message is called multi-channel marketing.  If you communicate from one channel to drive purchasing through another channel,  this is called Cross-Channel marketing. The design of the look and functionality of product displays, shopping carts, and promotional bundles and discount can greatly affect the conversion of new customers and the avergae purchase per customer.

Effective marketing of events and the registration process will generate leads for future events and conversion for auxiliary product sales. Events are primary channels for building and re-enforcing community appreciation and networking with and between prospects and customers.  Event management should be tightly integrated with marketing strategies and campaigns.
